Meet Ipsen in the US

We seek to advance scientific and medical knowledge by funding certain types of requests for medical education that will benefit the public and improve patient health.

We are interested in providing educational funding within our therapeutic areas: oncology, neurosciences, and rare disease. This includes acromegaly, neuroendocrine tumors, carcinoid syndrome, pancreatic cancer, neuromuscular and movement disorders, severe primary IGF-1 deficiency (SPIGFD), fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), primary biliary cholangitis, epithelioid sarcoma and follicular lymphoma. Ipsen has a preference for programs that are supported by multiple organizations.

Grant requests may come from academic institutions, state or national medical associations or societies, disease foundations and associations, or other medical education providers. For academic institutions, the University Grants Office should apply for the grant, rather than an individual department or research group. Grants will not be given to individuals. Ipsen does not fund noneducational expenses.

Approval of grant funding is never related to or conditioned upon past prescriptions or purchases of Ipsen products. Ipsen does not offer or provide educational grants to encourage or to reward the prescription, purchase, order or recommendation of Ipsen products.

Ipsen supports independent research relating to our disease areas of interest to advance research and enhance disease understanding.

Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) investigators and/or their affiliated institutions take responsibility for the study as the Sponsor. The obligations of a sponsor-investigator include both those of a sponsor and those of an investigator. This means taking responsibility for all aspect of the study, including study:

• Design
• Regulatory approval
• Initiation
• Conduct
• Monitoring
• Reporting of safety data
• Analysis and publication of the results

Your ISS proposal will be reviewed by the Ipsen Medical Affairs Review Board for scientific merit as well as safety, legal, ethical and budgetary considerations. Support for endorsed proposals may be provided in the form of financial support and/or study drug supply pursuant to a written agreement which requires that you – as sponsor – comply with applicable local laws, rules, guidelines and regulations.

Through our charitable contribution efforts, Ipsen provides donations to 501 (c)(3) organizations located in the US that are aligned with our company social responsibility priorities and focus on 1) a charitable mission is relevant to patients in Ipsen therapeutic area/s 2) location/city where Ipsen facility/ies and/or Ipsen colleagues live and/or work 3) supports Ipsen’s global objectives to support healthcare or the environment 4) supports or offers potential volunteer opportunity for Ipsen colleagues and 5) considers DE&I health and social service initiatives.

Charitable contributions are reviewed and evaluated by the Charitable Funding Committee (CFC), a committee that meets quarterly or as needed. We accept online requests for charitable contributions from qualified 501 (c)(3) US-based organizations as outlined below and our typical donation amount is $5,000.

Ipsen requires all suppliers to register within our the online tool to support our compliance with our supplier diversity program and to pave the way for a quick and an efficient onboarding of your organization.
